Restaurant Saravanaa Bhavan (Petaling Jaya)

Located across the main road, Saravanaa Bhavan has been around for the longest time. Drawing groups of "healthy/roly-poly" vegetarian Indian expatriates and locals, parking if you are looking at during the peak hours, thank your lucky stars should there be one. In this area, everyone seem rushing into the banks to deposit or withdraw their millions, so much so they don't mind "let's get physical" while blocking other cars. So, to park, you got to do the rounds patiently and walk the distance to work the muscles. Saturdays and Sundays I know shouldn't be a problem. On this Saturday for dinner, we parked so close to the restaurant.

Featuring aplenty of items and unless you are a regular here, at least 5 minutes to look through the menu before ordering.

Eventually without keeping the waiter waiting, we ordered vadai, rava tosai, "Saravanaa Tali, lassi and "triveni" and these arrived within a short wait. Accompanied with sambar (dhal curry) and coconut chutney, the huffy-puffy soft vadai was quite a delight when dipped into the accompaniments and yummed.
Not a let down was the rava tosai with bitsy of onion and green chillies, paired with the same type of sambar and coconut and another two chutneys - tomato chutney and dhal chutney. Flavorful and tasty each of the components, indeed, delicious.
The "Saravanaa Tali" - I admired and I sure ate the rice with the different types of veggies, rasam, sambar, papadam, pcikle and raita. The chappati and poori helped out by half-half and the kesari I sure didn't miss out. A complete filling meal and tastefully prepared, we truly enjoyed.
Lassi was a drinkable drink and the "triveni", thick and sweet, a concoction of grapes pineapple and ginger. Slightly sweet as though artificially sweetened but didn't really matter.
Overall, an impressive (RM36.00), tasty meal and praises for the attentive customer service. The dining area, ohhh, hardly a breather once packed with customers and there should be a signboard for "Please Keep Your Volume Down".
