Honey Chilli Chicken

Honey infuses a subtle natural sweetness which balances well with the saltiness of soy sauce and spiciness of chilli powder. For the flavors to be adsorbed into the chicken, marinate chicken with all the ingredients except onion and curry leaves for about 4 hours, after which  cooked with curry leaves and onion. Its a dish with chicken soaked up in sweet-spicy-salty flavors and scented with curry leaves.

400g chicken (cut into bite sizes)
1 tsp ginger paste 
1 tsp garlic paste
1 tbsp dark soy sauce
1 tbsp worcheshire sauce
1 tbsp plain chilli powder (or as you prefer)
1 large onion - sliced 
3 sprigs curry leaves
2 tbsp oil
Salt to taste

  • Marinate the chicken pieces with all the ingredients except onion and curry leaves for at least 4 hours. 
  • In heated oil,  saute onion and curry leaves. 
  • Add marinated chicken, stir, pour 1/4 cup of water and simmer.  
  • Stir and cook till chicken is tender and gravy thickens up.
  • Remove from heat.
