Lorong Seratus Tahun - Taipan, Subang Jaya

Malaysians overall are wonderful "Malaysia Boleh" people. Still, if not all, some are the rare species in the sense that when I eat out alone, they would directly or indirectly stare. Maybe because not a norm for an Indian lady or I resemble the outer space alien? Not sure which is which but I just can't - why, why, tell me why? For that reason while I was in Taipan, I purposely made some rounds before walking into Lorong Seratus Tahun after the peak hour. Strange again because its now the foreign staff who started the same nonsense of staring. I pretended I didn't see and after a sneak peek at the tattered menu, I ordered.

As I have reminded the waitress to rush with my order, arrived the fish ball soup, fruit rojak and sky juice. Bulldozing into the springy fish balls floating atop the broth garnished with fried garlic and spring onion, I was satisfied. Not sure if the taste being or out of hunger but sincerely appreciated.
Lots of Malaysian fruits, crispy fried keropok, topped with crushed peanuts and poured over the spicy-sweet-thick gummy dark sauce, these after gently mixing, rojak was such a joy. A wise choice as well instead of tucking into a rice or noodle dish which would  have cramped my growling tummy. Fruit rojak on the other hand was light and with my favourite rustic tastes.
Finishing off these two dishes, I quenched my thirst with water, paid for this affordable meal and left this cafe style eatery.
