I shared with you my recipe of "Vegetarian Mutton Peratal", this one is a dried type, no gravy at all. Rice should be fine to serve with this dish but bread or chapati will be better choice. Nothing very complicated to prepare, just that about 15 minutes of continuous stirring over low heat for the dish to be ready.
Ingredients
200g of vegetarian mutton
1 onion (sliced)
a handful of curry leaves
2 green & 1 red chillies (remove seeds and cut into pieces)
1 tsp saffron/kunyit powder
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp fennel powder
some spices (cinnamon, star anise, cardamom & cloves)
salt to taste
3 tbsp olive oil
Method:
Put all ingredients except for olive oil in a bowl.
When oil is heated, add all the ingredients inside and fry over low heat, continuously stirring to prevent the ingredients from being overcooked/burned.
After about 15 minutes, you will notice the change in colour of the mutton. By now, the mutton will be crispy and well blended with the spices. Off the heat and serve it.
