Any Mango lovers out there? Oh yes, I can just imagine the number of hands that would shoot up right away. And yes, I am one of them too. A big fan, in fact. I used to save up every penny I could, just so that I could visit the nearest Mango store and buy, buy, buy. I mean seriously, what’s not to love about it? Truly affordable with great styles and cuts, there’s nothing else a girl could ask for.
The Spanish brand launched its Fall/Winter 2010 men’s and women's collections at Madrid’s Círculo de Bellas Artes. The fashion event saw society’s big wigs and celebrities who eagerly awaited to see the latest creations from Mango. Lots of deep browns and neutrals to basic black were seen on the runway – in the form of trench coats, double-breasted jackets, flowy paisley’s and well-tailored skirts and pants with subtle hints of gold shimmer and black leather too.
During the event, the top ten finalists of the third edition of the international event, the El Botón-MANGO Fashion Awards were announced. They are competing for 300,000€ in prize money, the largest prize awarded to date in an event of this kind. From the 50 projects selected from over 200 received in the first round, the Jury has selected the 10 finalists with the most talent and international projection, who will now compete to be proclaimed the winners of this edition. Definitely looking forward to catch the winner in action!
