Ninja Joe, Tropicana City Mall (Non-Halal)

There are restaurants that serve pork burger. Now there’s a fast-food place that serves pork burger – Ninja Joe. The place is located on the lower ground floor of Tropicana City Mall and is painted in attention-grabbing red colour.

The place claims that its food contains no added MSG, preservatives, or artificial flavouring. Additionally, they also claim to use freshest quality pork and no spare parts. There are six available flavours - Original, Teriyaki, Black Pepper, Oriental, Sweet & Sour, Spicy. Since the place is called Ninja Joe, I decided to order Teriyaki because… well, Ninja are from Japan and so is Teriyaki.
The burgers are on the pricey side. One ninja is RM5.90, two ninjas are RM9.90, three ninjas are RM12.90 and four ninjas are 23.90. So yes, the more you order, the cheaper it is. Then you would probably add drinks and maybe fries. They charge one fries and one drink (choose either lemonade or green tea) for RM3.50.

So if you are just going there on your own and get one ninja, one fries and one drink, it would cost you RM9.40. The burger is rather small and the bun is just like any normal bun, like those you get when you eat Ramly Burger. The Teriyaki Ninja that I tried was on the sweet side.
At first, it looked like we would have to “tapau” (pack) some food as the size of each burger is small. But upon finishing the meal, we found that it was just right, because the fries, which are the fatter types, helped to fill us up.

The place also has The Big Boss, which is a larger burger and you have the option of adding cheese or egg. Also, if you can prove that your name is Joe, then you get a discount. The overall taste is just slightly above average, but if I am craving for a pork burger, I would choose the Teriyaki Pork Burger (RM10.90) at Kissaten, Jaya One, PJ over Ninja Joe.
