OLE OLE BALI - Sunway Pyramid

Conveniently located within 10 minutes drive away from my office, Sunway pyramid is the mall for almost everything but preferably on weekdays. Weekends? Oh-no. I can't take the rush, push and parking-traffic hassle. However on this Saturday, duty called and thereafter as agreed with the colleague a couple of days ago to use the 10% discount at "Ole Ole Bali", we were here for an early lunch. As the weather was favourable and that huffing and puffing obviously not allowed in the air-conditioned inside dining area, we sat outside. Having been to Waterlily Balinese Bistro and that the colleague is also a regular here, I told him - "go ahead and order anything except beef" before I took a couple of pictures of the Balinese ambiance. Similar to the ambiance, the menu features traditional and modern Balinese dishes and Western selection as well.

Just as I returned to the table, food and drinks had arrived. The "ole ole mix trio" platter definitely a big portion consisting of grilled squid, chicken wings, 3 sticks of lemongrass minced chicken, salad and three types of dips. Impressive yum the spicy dips whereas the creamy dip the "Mat Salleh"preferred. The crispy crunchy chicken wings and the aromatic and nicely cooked lemongrass chicken we enjoyed and the batter fried sotong the colleague finished off.

Despite the gentle reminder earlier that beef is a taboo for me, beef burger was one of the items. Well, the colleague kept apologizing whereas I didn't mind he tucked into the juicy cheesy grilled patty atop the burger bun and accompanied with fries, salad and watermelon. Quite a hearty tasty package he commented. The ice blended banana with palm sugar a good choice to fill up my stomach.

Ole-Ole - I love the ambiance, the efficient service and for the wide variety of food and drinks. Returning here again for another meal, sure, why not.
