Tom Yam Fried Mee Hoon

Unlike mum who is a full time home administrator, I juggle multiple roles. I work, I manage my home affairs, you name it, I am the one for everything at home. Not complaining. No, I am not. I perfectly understand my other half works his butt as well to ensure our home remain in one piece. However, managing the whole lot of it I admit really challenges managing my time. Unlike mum again who has the time to pound and grind ingredients, I am always thinking of simplifying cooking. I sincerely wish I can make a good tom yam paste, perhaps I will when time permits, meanwhile for this tom yam fried mee hoon, say hi to store bought tom yam paste. Can you also please say another hi to this one wholesome wok dish, cooked with the paste, seafood, cauliflower, chillies and kaffir lime leaves? Thank you. Sincerely appreciated.

Ingredients
1/2 packet of mee hoon (soak to soften)
15 prawns (de-vein, but leave the tail on)
2 small squids (slice)

5-6  limau purut/kaffir lime leaves (shred/slice)
5 birds eye chillies (slice)
1/4 cauliflower (cut into small florets)
4 tbsp oil
Salt for taste

Method

Add tom yam paste, cauliflower, mee hoon and salt.

  1. I love Thai cuisines especially Tom Yam and I also love mee hoon as well. Now with both combination, makes the perfect and delicious dish. Now feels like want to go supermarket just to buy tom yam paste and mee hoon to cook this, after reading your blog.
