After V Magazine's much-hyped curvy issue, like many other designers are following suit on this curvalicious trend. Bettina Liano just happens to be one of them; famously known as Australia’s original jean queen with a loyal following of models, celebrities and almost every other woman out there! I mean come on, who could possibly resist a perfectly designed, snug-fit pair of jeans?
The Australian label has recently added a new Curvy Fit to their celebrated O collection. It’s design is said to boost voluptuous feminine figures which helps to help lift the butt, elongate the leg and come with a no-gap, contoured waistband – very flattering for those with smaller waist and larger hips and thighs. The new additions will be available in two different styles; boot-cut and slider, which is a more straight cut jean. Guess what colour the jeans are? Indigo rinse of course — it is Bettina Liano’s signature wash!
Australia’s Next Top Model winner, Tahnee Atkinson, will be the new face of the campaign. As quoted from Perth Now, Liano said she picked Atkinson for the campaign because of her womanly figure. "It has nothing to do with being fat or skinny, it's about the shape of the body, not the size," Liano said. "Consequently, when looking for a model we wanted someone young that projected sex appeal and, most importantly, had some curve."
Atkinson's agent Priscilla Leighton-Clark said the young fashion plate was getting plenty of work offers, though she was not rushing into jobs.
I’m guessing all you sexy plus-sized ladies out there are delighted with these new jeans. Well, we at nava-k are definitely lovin’ the current CURVY trend too!
